Moroc x Afghan
Nirvana Seeds
Indica 65 / Sativa 35
Origins: Nirvana Afghan x strain from Ketama region
Flowering: 63 days
Harvest: mid October
This strain combines tasty strains traditionally used for hash-making – and Afghani mother and a strain from the Ketama region of Morocco. In this cross, Nirvana has created a premium variety that is reminiscent of hash in smell and flavor.
Although developed for indoor use, Moroc x Afgan (the Dutch spelling of Afghan) does well outdoors in Spain and would probably thive in similar Mediterranean climates. The strain’s Moroccan heritage favors a narrow profile for growing in cramped quarters – Nirvana recommends a sea of green with 20 plants per square meter under a 600-watt lamp. Hydro cultivation is acceptable, but soil brings out better flavor.
Moroc x Afghan shows the vigor of a strong F1 hybrid, continuing to grow long after flowering is induced. indoors, plants put into flower at 30 cm (1 foot) achieve a final height of around 1 meter (3 feet); outdoors, 2-meter (6 foot) plants are common. This strain is roomy between its sparse limbs, which tend to bend upward more than normal. In the beginning, Moroc x Afghan’s leaves look “indica“, but about three weeks into flowering they become very thin and long with 7-9 leaflets. Root systems from this strain are robust. Her bust are classic “fingers”, somewhat long yet very compact. The profuse trichomes are relatively even in size, giving fantastic pollinator and ice-o-lator results.
This strain is friendly to cultivate and delivers a balanced stone that is neither too sleepy nor too speedy. it serves as a perfect staple pot but the high is complex enough that it wont become boring and familiar. The exotic hybrid flavor is more apparent when cured properly and made into hash.
